The THUM Service software runs as Windows service. The service version software has the same features as past software versions shipped with the THUM. The main difference is that application has just been split into two executables. One executable is the service that takes readings, logs to an Access mdb, sends alarm emails, and creates the web page. These functions take place even without a user logged in. The other exe is the GUI that can display the data in realtime and modify the Options. Multiple copies of the GUI can run at the same time, even in terminal sessions.
The THUM Service software runs under Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, 2003 Server, and 2008 Server.
The THUM Service software is a free upgrade for past THUMs that shipped with the non-service version. The upgrade is available via download only.
